None of these small narrow Utes including ranger hilux are tow vehicle anything over 2 tonnes as becomes unsafe

they are not a good tow rig if van any bigger than camper trailer--- buy a amarok or ranger v6

I've just ordered the LSU+. I'm hoping it cures the scary towing that I get with my 2017 Triton.

What a load of crap, over 50K and 2.5 ton, my 18 ft dual axle Supreme is only 2.3 ton fully loaded, has a full ensuite with washing machine etc, I was looking at these hybrid vans as potential weight saving more compact things but I'll not bother now😮

Just watched Chasing Cars where he did a review on the new Musso,looks exactly like this in the front ,so maybe you can do a test on that but don't think it'd make a good tow vehicle

I wouldn't go an import. Support local and get quality, all good if you are travelling now and then. All personal choice in the end.

Rides well but from the chassis up the parts are cheap and of poor quality.............I would have paid the extra for solid Quality parts.Battery positing is a pain,should be more accessible,and lithium battery with a compressor fridge would be the go.

Crusader Camelot with all terrain pack is exactly like this BUT its fibreglass composite which means its hail resistant unlike aluminium which dents like crazy

upgrade it to a y62 v8 petrol as i did and will never go back to diesel with all those issues--- yeah no thanks

and yet my y62 v8 patrol uses 22 l/100 towing 3500 kgs all over australia and its 300kw

We have the 20ft 8 odyssey , slight different setup to what's shown overall very happy with our purchase from caravan world at sunny coast. I agree underneath the van is the best I have ever seen .

I had the same professionally installed and after 6 months the battery monitor has still not learned about the battery capacity, so still won’t show what % charge it’s at. And that’s with my fridge running full time day and night. It’s really quite frustrating. I have been told to drain the battery right down to almost 0% and then it will work. But I don’t know what % the battery is at because this item is meant to tell me…. As much as I love REDARC products, this battery monitor is far inferior to Victron’s which has another Ap page full of information and battery/charge history that our Redarc simply doesn’t have. And it’s cheaper. Redarc need to lift their game with this inferior product. Ps Saying the Bluetooth reaches 40m is a complete lie. Mine cuts out at 15m line of sight.

When towing a caravan should I have it just in normal automatic drive or in the manual selection

My wife and I will be retiring soon and we are looking for a caravan to travel around Australia. We haven't found one we would buy on impulse. And there is no way i would buy a caravan with the battery on the outside of the van. And it would have to have 2X 180lt water tanks.

So glad to see something different that makes sense. A breath of fresh air. Small to tow. Big to live in. Singe axle. Light. Not too wide. Simple suspension. Lots of water and power. Take it anywhere so you can stay away a long time. Love it.

ONE 60amp solar controller for 1400w of solar is a massive limiter on the power that is capable of being produced and a significant amount of solar energy has been lost to the never never as a result. 1400w of solar on an MPPT controller can (when the batteries are almost fully depleted (or even at an SoC of 20%) would produce almost TWICE what the controller will allow as it’s output. Enerdrive’s 300aH batteries for example have a low voltage cut out at 11.2v. The MPPT controller therefore would be converting the 1400w (assuming the panels were at this point in time producing their full capability) and excluding conversion losses, 125amps. However, being a 60amp solar controller you’ve wasted a truckload of what it should be producing. This is an enigma for me that both Enerdrive and / or Bush Tracker have allowed this!!?

Nice looking van but not sure about stability having just the single axle on an 18foot van. Also interested to know what the tare and ATM is as it wasn't mentioned. Tipping payload will be low.
